Elections

The elections will be held at the Annual Meeting on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 5 p.m., at 3820 E. Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107. We encourage all members to participate.

L.A. Electrical Workers Credit Union members in good standing have the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors or the Supervisory Committee. These positions are critical for the governance and oversight of the credit union.

Open Positions

  • Board of Directors: 3 positions (3-year terms)

  • Supervisory Committee: 1 position (3-year term)

Eligibility

Nominees must:

  • Be a member in good standing with the credit union.

  • Meet any additional requirements specified by the Board of Directors or Nominating Committee.

Nomination Process

The nomination period opens on October 30, 2025, and closes at midnight on January 8, 2026.

How to Become a Candidate

There are two ways to be nominated for a position:

  1. Nomination by the Nominating Committee—Members can contact the Nominating Committee to express interest in being considered for nomination. The Nominating Committee may evaluate candidates based on criteria set by the Board of Directors.

  2. Nomination by Petition—Candidates may also submit a petition to Ms. Citlali Castillo, Secretary, L.A. Electrical Workers Credit Union, 3820 E. Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107. The petition must be signed by 1% of members eligible to vote, with a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 500 signatures. Only original, handwritten signatures are valid; electronic or reproduced signatures are not accepted. Petitions must be received by January 9, 2025, which is at least 50 days before the Annual Meeting.

Candidate Statement

All nominees are required to submit a written statement (maximum 250 words) detailing:

  • Qualifications for the position.

  • Reasons for seeking election.

Candidate statements must be submitted to the Secretary (see above) no later than January 8, 2026. Email your candidate statement to cuinfo@laewcu.com. These statements will be included in election materials sent to members.
