Vacation Fund

Access Your Vacation Fund

It’s Simple

To receive your vacation fund money, you’ll need to open a basic LA Electrical Workers Credit Union account.

It only takes a few minutes. Once your account is set up, you can access your money right away.

Why You Need to Open an Account

Because L.A. Electrical Workers Credit Union is a state-regulated credit union, vacation fund payments must be issued through a member account.

The good news is that this gives you faster access and more control over your money.

What to Bring

  1. Valid ID, such as a driver’s license, passport, or California ID

  2. Current union dues receipt

  3. Social Security number or Social Security card

What It Costs

  • $5 one-time membership fee

  • $20 kept in your savings account to keep it open. The $20 is still your money and will be returned to you if you ever close the account.

How You Get Your Money

Once your account is open, you can access your vacation fund in the following ways:

  • Same day at the Pasadena branch, up to $2,500

  • Check at the Pasadena or Commerce branch

  • Online banking after setup

Access on Your Schedule

You are no longer limited to fixed payout times.

Two withdrawals per calendar year are free. Additional withdrawals or transfers are $10 each.

Avoid Delays Later

If funds go unclaimed for too long, they may be sent to the State of California as unclaimed property. Your money is still yours, but getting it back can take extra time and paperwork.

Opening your account now helps you avoid that inconvenience and keeps your money easily accessible.
